If you fancy a spot of golfing then you’ve picked the right place as Kildare is said to be a Golfer’s Paradise. In 2006 it was the centre of the sporting world when the K Club Golf Resort hosted the Ryder Cup matches on its championship Palmer Course “the jewel” in our golfing crown.

Golf in Kildare doesn’t stop there however just five minutes away is the lovely Athy Golf Clubthe 18 hole golf course and club house also serves a wide range of delicious foods. With a golf club or driving range in every corner of the county, the oldest of the courses at the Curragh Golf Club, while the newest can be found at the Dunmurry Springs Golf Club. This course has been built to full USPGA specifications and makes the most of the location's enviable natural resources - springs, grasses and spectacular views. 

While the Palmerstown Stud Golf Club situated in Johnstown boasts the Christy O'Connor Jnr. designed course. Finally Kildare holds fame to the Carton House which was selected as the European Golf Resort of the Year 2008 and due to host the GUI National Finals from 2014 to 2017. All courses are within 40minutes from Ballindrum, a convenient location to access the best of Kildare’s resources.
